Position: Buyer - We are looking for an Exceptional Talent in Supply Chain Management!

Location: Goulamina. Mali

Reporting Relationship: Supply Chain Supervisor - Join a Supportive and Collaborative Team!

Position Purpose:

Are you an exceptional talent in the field of Supply Chain Management? We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Buyer to join our team! As a Buyer, your role will be instrumental in helping our project meet quality and commercial standards while delivering on time and within budget. You will oversee commercial administrative and transactional duties in Mali, supported by our Perth-based Commercial team and existing Buyers on Site. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Supervisor, you will play a key role in the contract pre-award and post-award processes, ensuring the project's success. Major Responsibility Areas:

Commercial Support
- Drive Commercial Success - Provide administrative support to the commercial and logistics function, ensuring a smooth request for quotation and purchase order issuance process.

- Organize with Precision - Maintain purchasing registers, file documentation accordingly, and liaise with vendors to follow up on outstanding orders.

- Fuel Operational Efficiency - Raise requisitions for equipment, parts, materials, and resources as instructed, ensuring compliance with LMSA supply chain processes.

- Expand Vendor Network - Prequalify new vendors to enhance our procurement capabilities.











Policies and Procedures
- Ensure Procedural Excellence - Identify and address procedural non-conformances, contributing to remedial measures as required.

- Streamline Processes - Provide valuable input to enhance commercial processes and procedures based on practical recommendations.

- Uphold Compliance - Facilitate the preparation of commercial documents under company policies and procedures.



Finance and Costing
- Collaborate for Financial Accuracy - Liaise with finance/cost control departments to ensure accurate assignment of project costs to the correct control account codes.

- Timely Payments and Financial Insight - Coordinate with the Finance Department for prompt payment of invoices and provide periodic input to cash calls, ensuring correct financial information.

- Communicate Commitment Costs - Regularly communicate commitment costs to the Perth team, fostering transparency and alignment.



Reporting
- Data-driven Decision Making - Collect and analyze project data for reporting purposes, enabling informed decision-making.

- Proactive Report Management - Request, expedite, and collate data for all reports, ensuring sufficient lead time and accuracy.

- Support Financial Planning - Assist with budgeting and contribute to regular reporting, optimizing financial performance.



Administrative Support
- Be the Support Pillar - Provide daily support to the project and operations team as directed by the Manager, ensuring seamless operations and achieving project goals.

- Effective Communication and Documentation - Attend meetings, capture accurate minutes, and ensure timely dissemination of minutes/action trackers, fostering transparent communication.

- Proactive Operations Management - Advise the Projects and Operations Team on received items and recommend preventive/corrective actions for goal achievement.





Position Holder Requirements:

Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

- Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite.

- Strong organizational skills - Accurate minute taking and timely dissemination of minutes/action trackers.

- Exceptional report preparation skills.

- Prior experience using Pronto ERP preferred.

- Language proficiency - Ability to read, speak, and write in French and English desirable.
